Thread: 7.4 Release webpage (ATTN Wade)

Folks,

Atttached is the beginnings of a "press kit" page for the 7.4 release.   Wade
is going to finish it.

However, I would like to determinine in advance where we're going to put it so
that I can tailor the press release e-mails.   My suggestion:

1) we add it to advocacy:  advocacy.postgresql.org/74release
2) that we determine that alternate language versions will be at:
    advocacy.postgresql.org/74release-FR
    advocacy.postgresql.org/74release-DE
    etc.

I'm very flexible on this, I just need to know in advance what the URLs will
be.

Hello all.  I hope everyone is having a great day.
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Wade Klaver.  I have been using
postgres daily for over three years now, and am glad to be able to contribute
to the effort.

  Before I start truly hacking and slashing at this beast, I was wondering if
anyone had any comments or suggestions regarding the page as it stands
currently.  I am looking at a rather drastic reorganization, but will back
off if people are liking the general form it has currently.

Go ahead.   My interest is that it contains all of the stuff I list in the
header (original press release, detailed version, links, full text of quotes,
list of contacts),and that it look good.

Also keep in mind that the translation volunteers will have to translate the
text and we'll have to paste the translated text into the HTML.
