Our contact people asked O'Reilly about it and O'Reilly says there are some PostgreSQL talks. Anyway, unlike last year, I am not planning to attend. -- Bruce Momjian bruce@momjian.us EnterpriseDB http://www.enterprisedb.com + If your life is a hard drive, Christ can be your backup. +

I've spoken to several people who submitted PostgreSQL talks and they were all rejected in the first round. And there are none on the official agenda... I can also only find a bunch of MySQL talk and one (or was it two) Oracle ones. //Magnus
1. Postgresql was there. 2. Enterprise DB and Greenplum were there. 3. While Sun was talking their big iron (this is a big iron show) they were saying positives about postgresql as well. 4. Several sophisticated vendors were talking up postgresql as an essential and popular component of their user apps which mysql architecture couldn't handle. More on that later. Others are making real efforts. 5. Spike Source people told me they want to certify a LAPP stack Real Soon Now. There is now two factor authentication devices for Linux by a Canadian firm. Let me know if you would like a special price on 5 devices. Xen is looking dooable. Finally, there is another Canadian company with 4u rack space available in California for $250 with a 24/7 2Mb. pipe. flat rate. MIchael -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Version: 7.1.405 / Virus Database: 268.11.1/421 - Release Date: 8/16/2006

I am getting tired of hearing, run unstable to get a stable version. > Finally, there is another Canadian company with 4u rack space > available in California for $250 with a 24/7 2Mb. pipe. flat rate. > MIchael Who?
