Thread: Tools ... once again
Well I'm trying hard to get us moved from MySQL. The _new_ issue for me is a GUI database designers. When I went hunting a few weeks ago all I could find were MS-Windows based. Since we're a Linux ( servers and developer workstations ) shop something like DBDesigner4 ( which we use for the our MySQL stuff ) would be nice. It would also make my _sales-job_ easier. Are there any slick tools for DB design that don't run on MS-Windows? Did I duck the clue-stick completely when I was looking? TIA, Rod --

Hi Roderick, Another one is DBWrench which is Java based although it does not support all the features of PostgreSQL. Bernard On Thursday 05 January 2006 18:00, Joshua D. Drake wrote: > Roderick A. Our lead programmer downloaded a copy ( parallel discovery on his part ) and is loving it. With his help I was able to get it up and running also but I'm away from database design stuff for a week or so so can't really evaluate it. From his recommendation I'll probably buy a copy for personal use as I'm doing support for some non-profits in the area. Thanks for the _great_ suggestion.
