Tools ... once again

Well I'm trying hard to get us moved from MySQL. The _new_ issue for me
is a GUI database designers. When I went hunting a few weeks ago all I
could find were MS-Windows based. Since we're a Linux ( servers and
developer workstations ) shop something like DBDesigner4 ( which we use
for the our MySQL stuff ) would be nice. It would also make my
_sales-job_ easier.

Are there any slick tools for DB design that don't run on MS-Windows?
Did I duck the clue-stick completely when I was looking?

TIA,
Rod

Hi Roderick,

Another one is DBWrench which is Java based although it does not support all
the features of PostgreSQL.

It's not as feature rich as DBDesigner, and the interface takes a bit of
getting used to, but I'm having a pretty good experience with Druid III
(druid.sf.net) and postgresql. (Warning: java)

Our lead programmer downloaded a copy ( parallel discovery on his part )
and is loving it. With his help I was able to get it up and running
also but I'm away from database design stuff for a week or so so can't
really evaluate it. From his recommendation I'll probably buy a copy
for personal use as I'm doing support for some non-profits in the area.

Thanks for the _great_ suggestion.
