We are delighted to be able to translate pgAdmin3 into Teleglu. Is Teleglu the second language in India? We hope pgAdmin3 will be of good help in rural projects. I always thought Free Software was meant to be a gift to Humanity. Welcome to pgAdmin translation team. Your name will be added shortly to the translator list on http://www.pgadmin.org/pgadmin3/translation.php We will do our best to support you during the translation. Please refer to our translation Howto and download and empty pgadmin3.po file from the translation page. Also, keep in mind that is is possible to translate pgAdmin web site. Could you send us, in an UTF-8 attached file, the translation of "Teleglu". This will enable us to modify pgAdmin3 language selection menu. ****** Andreas: as I do not know the locale for Teleglu (te_IN probably), I would rather let you add the languages files needed. Could you confirm you received this message, otherwise I will add the needed files myself. Thanks my friend! ******* Best regards, Jean-Michel Pouré

While wxWindows internal files say that the locale should be "te", my Linux (SuSE 8.1) shows the locale "te_IN" as available. Murali, could you please confirm which locale to use, te or te_IN (locale -a on Linux), or maybe both? Regards, Andreas

Does pgAdmin support simple locales like "ar" (Arabic), "fr" (French) or simply "de" (German). Do you remember why it failed when we tried using "ar"? Cheers, Jean-Michel

AFAIR wxWindows can use "te_IN", while only "te" is available, by using only the first two chars if the long locale isn't available, but this is the other way round. We might need to add "te_IN" to wxWindows (which wouldn't be such a big deal). Regards, Andreas

Dear Jean-Michel, I am glad to see your response. we need to change from "Teleglu" to "Telugu" on the site http://www.pgadmin.org/pgadmin3/translation.php For Hindi language it is used as hi_IN. so, we need to use te_IN for telugu. I ll go through the help file and start translation, if i need any help i ll get back to you. Please change from Teleglu to Telugu Regards Murali Medisetti > Le Vendredi 12 Septembre 2003 11:42, Andreas Pflug a écrit : >> AFAIR wxWindows can use "te_IN", while only "te" is available, by >> using only the first two chars if the long locale isn't available, but >> this is the other way round. I updated the web site. Sorry for the confusion. Could you please send me the translation of "Telegu" as well as your name written in Telegu in an attached UTF-8 file. This will allow us to modify pgAdmin3 language selection menu. Best regards, Jean-Michel
