Hey,I need some help installing and configuring PostGreSQL on Redhat Linux. We can't install from source as the Internet is unavailable. I have looked into download and manual install, but am having hard time finding the required RPMs' and instructions. Can someone please help ?
I had the same problem, so wrote this PowerShell script (that you will have to modify).

Hi Servet,Thanks for your response. Under the redhat directory, there are a few dozen files. Which ones are needed for installation? Also, is there a step by step installation available?
Once they're in their own Linux directory, simply "sudo yum install *rpm".

Hi Sendhu,You should download and install following rpms on linksOptional for extensions
Still, when you operate your PostgreSQL server on a machine which cannot connect to the Internet to check for updates, it will get outdated and be lacking security updates in the long run.
Therefore, this is undesirable and not at all recommended.
Keep in mind that rough guesses say that about half of all attacks come from inside organsations, and only the other half from outside.
Thus it's necessary to keep software safe and updated, even if the system isn't connected to the Internet.
So you have to check manually, but regularly for updates (especially minor updates!) and install them.

Holger

My earlier email had a PowerShell script in a text file. In there is everything I've used for the past three years when downloading packages for 9.6 and 13.
