Please make it pugsea or pug_sea. I see we already have folks from Jakarta interested in this and i have seen good traction for PostgreSQL in other countries in South East Asia as well. Once created, help us get more and more PUGSEANs to join us from the region. :-)

SEAsia_Pug?
How about pugSEAsia or pug_SEAsia?
Do you know that folks from Jakarta will want to join your PUG instead
of having their own?
We plan to organize events in Kuala Lumpur/Jakarta in addition to organizing meetups in Singapore and hence proposing to create a group for the region. Moreover geographically it is more convenient to have a South East Asian group compared to having something of those lines in India/China/Europe or Americas. If folks in Jakarta would like to have their on PUG, we would like to work with them promote and organize events for the local PUG (still a SE Asia group makes sense).

Someone with rights to create the mailing list needs to do so. When that is done, I will add it to the PUG list.

Hi,
There has not been any updates on this thread?
Any idea whom do I need to talk to/email to for this?

BTW we have completed 2 PUGS meetups in Singapore. Last meetup we got a decent crowd of people who are using PostgreSQL. Is there place where we can share the pictures?

The Singapore PUG is already listed on the community page - http://www.postgresql.org/community/user-groups/
I pinged some of the pginfra people to see if they can create the list, because yes, this has taken way too long.

Awesome! I would keep using the meetup page to share photos - we do the same with NYCPUG. We currently don't have anything to add photos for PUGs to the main PostgreSQL page.
Best,
Jonathan

Yeah! I remember getting that up. :)

Thanks! :-)
Please note that though we are organizing events in Singapore but would like to expand and hence from mailing list perspective would like to keep it as South East Asia PUGS. The name/mailID for list can be as per the standards followed/respected.

Thanks a lot!
I've added a link to the list on the PUGs page. Thanks!
Thanks for acting quick! We will share it across and hope to see more and people joining in. :)
