Trying (and not succeeding) to get Postgres 7.0 to work in Win2K RC2

Environment: Win2K RC2 (build 2128), Cygwin 1.1.0 (cygwin1.dll 1.1.2), IPC
daemon 1.05 (from binaries), Postgresql 7.0.

OK. Postgres seems to build all right now that I've actually found build
directions...

When I go to start up psql, however, here's what happens. I took a ps -afl
before and after to see if anything else did anything sudden, but nothing
did. I'll show the "before" one.

bash-2.04$ ps -afl
PID PPID PGID WINPID UID TTY STIME COMMAND
   1000 1000 1000 1396 1003 -1 17:31:58 /bin/bash.exe
   1003 1000 1003 872 1003 -1 17:32:20 /usr/local/bin/ipc-daemon.exe
   1004 1000 1004 1368 1003 -1 17:32:25
/usr/local/pgsql/bin/postgres.exe

   1006 1000 1006 1132 1003 -1 17:32:30 /bin/ps.exe
bash-2.04$ psql -h localhost template1
Welcome to psql, the PostgreSQL interactive terminal.

Type: \copyright for distribution terms
\h for help with SQL commands
\? for help on internal slash commands
\g or terminate with semicolon to execute query
       \q to quit

      0 [main] psql 1007 handle_exceptions: Exception:
STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION
11383 [main] psql 1007 stackdump: Dumping stack trace to
psql.exe.stackdump

If you'd like the stackdump file, or the results of make and/or make
install(I tee'd their output into text files just in case), or config.cache,
let me know.
