Thread: Using libpq with Borland C++ Builder
Is it really so that no one knows how to compile libpq with BCB for windows. Would really like to make a clien app. for Pgsql with BCB, but have the above obstacle. I have seen the topic mentioned on this list before, but no fullfilling solutions were provided. I am unfortunately not that experienced in C and therefor don't have the knowledge to translate the win32 makefile for Visual C++ into a usable one for BCB. Any hints? Regard
I can suggest to try Zeos Components usable with Borland Delphi 3-6, Kylix and C++ builder http://www.zeoslib.org or http://sourceforge.net/projects/zeoslib/ Be carefull with some changes in the system tables especially pg_index for the 7.2 release. The components are OK up to 7.1.3 Regards Michel BELLON LCIE - Méthodes/Informatique appliquée 33 (0)1 40 95 60 35 http://www.lcie.fr > -----Message d'origine----- > De: Allan Ohlfsen [SMTP:ao@Munk-IT.dk] > Date: mercredi 20 février 2002 19:38 > À: pgsql-interfaces@postgresql.org > Objet: Using libpq with Borland C++ Builder > > Is it really so that no one knows how to compile libpq with BCB for > windows. > > Would really like to make a clien app. for Pgsql with BCB, but have the > above obstacle. > > I have seen the topic mentioned on this list before, but no fullfilling > solutions were provided. > > I am unfortunately not that experienced in C and therefor don't have the > knowledge to translate the win32 makefile for Visual C++ into a usable one > for BCB. > > Any hints? > > Regard > > > ---------------------------(end of broadcast)--------------------------- > TIP 5: Have you checked our extensive FAQ? > > http://www.postgresql.org/users-lounge/docs/faq.html
