Thread: Bzip2 postgres tarballs
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Regarding bzipping postgres tarballs: Did we ever reach a consensus on this issue? I'd like to see alternate forms start appearing for each version (moving forward) so that people can download either (for example) postgresql-7.2.tar.gz or postgresql-7.2.tar.bz2 as they wish. I'm not advocating *replacing* gz; I just think we should offer this as an alternate form for those who have the correct tools and wish to save space and download time.
