Regarding bzipping postgres tarballs:

Did we ever reach a consensus on this issue? I'd like to see 
alternate forms start appearing for each version (moving forward) 
so that people can download either (for example) 
postgresql-7.2.tar.gz or postgresql-7.2.tar.bz2 as they wish. 
I'm not advocating *replacing* gz; I just think we should offer 
this as an alternate form for those who have the correct tools 
and wish to save space and download time.
