[An imagined conversation in the head of Mike Cox] "Oh, life is so hard when there's so much free information available. Maybe I should just go hire a consultant and get the job done right. Service, that's what I want! Now!" [Later, on the phone....] "What?? You're telling me you want $150/hr to help me with my problem? It should be free, or at least cheap! Why, I could get the same information from usenet. I'll only pay $10." Yes, indeed, life is so hard sometimes. -- ________________ harrison@tbc.net

For the benefit of other people reading this thread, you don't have to be a member of the lists to post. Nonsubscriber messages are moderated (which adds a delay), but on topic messages will get through. In addition, the lists are set up for technical users and don't use reply to munging to keep replies from going back to off list posters.

Additionally, you can subscribe and set the "nomail" option, which will allow your mail to get through without moderation, but won't actually send mail from the list to you. -- Alvaro Herrera (<alvherre[@]dcc.uchile.cl>) "Investigación es lo que hago cuando no sé lo que estoy haciendo" (Wernher von Braun)
