pgmonitor - is that a binary that comes with the PostgreSQL distribution?
I have 7.2 installed from RPMs, and I don't have pgmonitor (just did a find from /). Should I have it?

Thanks,
Otis

7.2 has much better monitoring built in see

http://www7.us.postgresql.org/users-lounge/docs/7.2/postgres/monitoring.html

be sure to turn on the stats you want to collect in postgresql.conf
