ERWin and/or Postgres?

I've managed to get ahold of a sample key for CA's ERwin tool,
and while the UI gives me chills, the software seems 10 years old,
and the final price, should I try to expense it, bugs me, it is
actually fairly neat for reverse/forward engineering databases.

However, although I can get it to connect to Postgres via ODBC
for reverse-engineering purposes, it won't generate a schema without
some knowledge of the target database. Does anyone have any
experience with ERwin, particularly in trying to get it to generate
a set-up script that makes some sense to Postgres?

Does anyone know of any other similar tools?

I've used Erwin to generate a script to create a Postgres database, using
Interbase as the target server.
If you mess with the settings for generating the script, you can get
something which works fine with Postgres (I had problems with using the ODBC
option).
Haven't really had any luck with reverse engineering though.
