I've managed to get ahold of a sample key for CA's ERwin tool,
and while the UI gives me chills, the software seems 10 years old,
and the final price, should I try to expense it, bugs me, it is
actually fairly neat for reverse/forward engineering databases.

However, although I can get it to connect to Postgres via ODBC
for reverse-engineering purposes, it won't generate a schema without
some knowledge of the target database. Does anyone have any
experience with ERwin, particularly in trying to get it to generate
a set-up script that makes some sense to Postgres?

Does anyone know of any other similar tools?
