Cygwinon a machine running Windows XP Embedded. I have also installed the version of PostgreSQL that came with Cygwin.

/dev/null:directory nonexistent<br />/usr/bin/initdb: cannot create /dev/null: directory nonexistent<br />The
program<br/>    '/usr/bin/postgres'<br />needed by initdb does not belong to PostgreSQL version 7.2.1, or<br />there
maybe a configuration problem.</div><div>This was the error message issued by that program:<br />/usr/bin/initdb:
cannotcreate /dev/null: directory
nonexistent</div><div>===========================================</div><div> </div><div>Question:Does anyone know how
toresolve the above problem?</div><div> </div><div>The same installation works fine in Windows 2000
