Thread: How to make postgresql work for windows
Hello, I am new to linux and unix Please guide me how to use postgresql for windows Thanks Mandar GDI INfotech ,India
To instal PostgreSQL on windows you need to install cygwin (http://www.cygwin.com). This comes with a pre-built version of PostgreSQL. You then only need to install the cygipc package (http://www.neuro.gatech.edu/users/cwilson/cygutils/V1.1/cygipc/index.html) and run ipc-daemon &. For more details there is the postgresql-7.1.3.README in /usr/doc/Cygwin. Hope this helps, - Stuart -----Original Message----- From: Mandar Punaskar [mailto:mandarp@india.gdii.com] Sent: 22 January 2000 06:26 To: Vinod_R@BBV.Satyam.com Cc: pgsql-cygwin@postgresql.org Subject: [CYGWIN] How to make postgresql work for windows Hello, I am new to linux and unix Please guide me how to use postgresql for windows Thanks Mandar GDI INfotech ,India ---------------------------(end of broadcast)--------------------------- TIP 6: Have you searched our list archives? http://archives.postgresql.org
