Hmm...I'm not sure why using a cable instead of a phone modem affects
how one addresses email. In the future, please post to
pgsql-cygwin@postgresql.org
instead of sending private email so others can benefit too.

Others have reported problems when ipc-daemon is running as a service.
I have not personally experienced any problems on either NT 4.0 SP5,
NT 4.0 SP6a or 2000 SP1 when ipc-daemon is installed as an NT service.
Sorry, but if I cannot reproduce it, then I cannot try to find the
root cause.
