Agenda, RSVPs for Clustering/Replication Summit

From

Date:
Clustering and Replication Hackers:

I have added a draft agenda for our meeting here:
http://wiki.postgresql.org/wiki/PgCon2011CanadaClusterSummit

Please check this agenda and suggest improvements. Currently, my idea is to have a morning of introductions, status
updates, and general discussion, followed by two impromptu breakout sessions in the afternoon, where people can meet up
tofocus on specific issues.

NOTE: If you are going to attend to represent a specific Clustering/Replication project, please prepare a 1 to 3 minute
statusupdate for the meeting.

NOTE: if you have been working on one of the core ClusteringFeatures, please be prepared to give a 1-3 minute summary.

Also, I have added an RSVP list to the wiki page. If you are no longer coming to the summit, or if you are not on that
list, please update ASAP. We need a final lunch count by Wednesday.

Status update reports for Clustering Summit

From
Josh Berkus
Date:
All,

I have the following people down for status updates on specific
Replication/Clustering technologies. If any of these are incorrect,
please let me know.

Note: we currently have NOBODY talking about work on improvements to
core to facilitate replication/clustering. If someone has something to
present, please let me know!

Status updates:

    Slony-I: Jan Wieck
    pgPoolII: Tatsuo Ishii
PostgresXC: Koichi Suzuki and Michael Parquier
    Bucardo: Selena Deckelmann
    SkyTools: Marko Kreen
    Binary Replication: Simon Riggs
    Mammoth Replication: Alexey Klyukin

If you are at the summit representing a specific replication or
clustering tool, you should prepare a 1-3 minute summary of current
progress and issues. If you want to use slides, please provide slides in
PDF form to Josh Berkus by Friday, May 13.

I need a reliable way to know which one is the primary, or which one
is the promoting standby.

All,

We now have a room for the clustering summit. See the Wiki Page:

http://wiki.postgresql.org/wiki/PgCon2011CanadaClusterSummit

We'll be in Desmerais, the same as the main part of the conference.
