so from a postgresql.org advocacy and website perspective we currently
have the following three "sources" for our graphics, logos and related
stuff:

* a pgfoundry project on http://pgfoundry.org/projects/graphics/ -
Status: outdated, incomplete, unmaintained and unreliable

* a repo on git.postgresql.org - Status: outdated, incomplete snd
unmaintained

* a "file source" - Status: unknown

Is it just me or that situation does not strike me as "low priority" -
but more of an important matter to be solved rather sooner than later?

Exactly. Let's just use git.postgresql.org and call it good. If we want
something in front of it, then let's use redmine.postgresql.org pointed
at git.postgresql.org.

To me S3, rsync.net, dropbox, softlayer are not options for the same
reasons as Github is not an option.

I stopped uploading stuff to git because I was told to stop by WWW. I
can collect everything I have and put it all in the git repo if that
works for people.

Is there any chance we could have git-lfs support on git.postgresql.org
?

https://git-lfs.github.com/

From a quick look there is not actually a server implementation of that available as open source, is there? There is some "reference implementation" that's explicitly listed as non-production...

Or did I miss something?

I think gitlab supports it, but I guess migrating to gitlab may not be
an option :)

There's also a list of implementations here :

https://github.com/github/git-lfs/wiki/Implementations

Not sure what's ready for production in this list, though.
