New Zealanders?

Hello!

Are there any New Zealanders here on the list interested in helping
with the NZ users group?

Brenda is leading this effort, and organizing an incredible number of
events right now -- can you lend a hand?

Looking for organizers and speakers...

Thanks Selena! :-)

Doesn't need much technical knowledge to help here - It needs the group to be
run.

The tasks of running a pug are:
 set the date/time
booking rooms (in company boardrooms or a bar or a restaurant or wherever)
 badgering the techies to speak
setting/suggesting topics/themes to help nudge people to speak
collect RSVPs so we know how many kegs of beer to provide
maintaining the website with event details

I'm happy to do this, but admit i'm falling behind. I was outta action for
about 4 weeks and have no-one currently to pick up the slack during this
time, so the May meeting has been cancelled. Next meeting is June.

Is Mark Kirkwood helping out at all?

Keep in mind that most PUGs depend on 1 or 2 organizers. The only reason why
SFPUG and PDXPUG have been able to have consistent monthly meetings is that
we have multiple organizers, but that's rare.

He is. He's part of the Wellington PGUG, and has (according
to the agenda, I can't attend due to clashing prior commitments
on the chosen day) done several presentations.

Cheers,
