Thread: Best open source db poll currently
Hello, I noticed a best open source db poll on http://www.casestudio.com (left column) where PostgreSQL is the latest currently ! :-( So, just go on that site and vote for your favorite Open Source database system ! :-) Best regards, -- Bruno Baguette - pgsql-ml@baguette.net

I have to wonder if there's been some ballot stuffing on the part of maxsql folks, since case studio only started supporting them in January IIRC. As an aside, I use this software and it's PostgreSQL support is pretty good, and the company itself is pretty responsive. Clinging to sanity, xzilla@users.sourceforge.net (Robert Treat) mumbled into her beard: > I have to wonder if there's been some ballot stuffing on the part of > maxsql folks, since case studio only started supporting them in > January IIRC. When PostgreSQL "won" the O'Really one (intentional misspelling :-)), that was a result of "stuffing." Firebird's high showing on that one was surely also due to ballot stuffing. What is interesting about this one is that it demonstrates some sort of change; in the past, I would have expected MySQL(tm) fans to stuff in favor of that, as they are doubtless more numerous than MaxDB(tm) fans. The interesting question: Could this be the beginning of the deprecation process of MySQL(tm)? Done :) Guys ... poll now shows 53% for MaxDB (ie. MySQL) and 15% for PostgreSQL ... think we can improve on that? :) http://www.casestudio.com On Wed, 31 Mar 2004, Martin Marques wrote: > El Mar 30 Mar 2004 11:13, Marc G. (Not to mention that posting about the poll to -advocacy totally invalidates the polling sample anyway.) -Neil

Hi, Be careful, It seems that only 12 click needs to add a percent !! So It is not significative ! On Wed, 31 Mar 2004, Marc G.
