Thread: Techdocs v2 - status
Justin/others With the mention of techdocs-v2 and this plone package in the "Writers needed" thread I wondered what the situation was with community-supplied docs. Existing documents - should I 1. Move my stuff out of techdocs/guides? 2. Wait a bit New documents 1. Point others to the site to add new documents 2. Add them myself for the moment 3. Wait a bit I ask now because Matthew Nuzum has been kind enough to write up a brief howto on using ssh to link Access via ODBC to PG on linux. -- Richard Huxton
Well, Justin kind of jumped the gun with the whole plone thing, so I'd ask that you just wait a couple days while I finish moving techdocs over to the new VM. After that we can hash out a game plan, as we've clearly lost any sense of direction with the passing of the torch from justin to josh to greg with justin now jumping back in and me trying to keep ahead of them all... I did wonder if I'd missed an announcement somewhere. I'll tell Matthew I'll post his document for him once everything settles down. -- Richard Huxton

Justin's just testing Plone. Elein and I want to test Bricolage as well; should we hold off on that? -- -Josh Berkus Aglio Database Solutions San Francisco

Hopefully things will be at a point we can pretend is normal by next week. Robert Treat

Hi Richard, Well, now that the servers have been moved around and seem to be working again, it'd be cool if Matthew Nuzum's guide couldbe added to the Techdocs site. Josh was thinking of adding in the Bricolage content management system to the Techdocs site for testing, and the Plone testingenvironment is already there presently. For us to figure out the best Content Management System for the "next generation" Techdocs site, we need people to get involvedin using them. Perfect opportunity. :) Regards and best wishes, Justin Clift -- "My grandfather once told me that there are two kinds of people: those who work and those who take the credit.
