Doesn't Red Hat have an installation manager? I know that SuSE and
Mandrake do. Can a Red Hat user please help Stephanie out?

As I said, Stephanie, what's happening is that your computer needs some
additional software that Postgres depends on. This software should be
available from your Linux distributor, in this case Red Hat. However,
since I don't use Red Hat, I'm at a loss to give you specific
 instructions.

-Josh
