|Is it true that PostgreSQL favour features for speed?
in short yes. inorder to be a robust rmdbs you are required to have
certain features eg. transactions that tend to incure a loss in
speed. this is one reason why mysql is _considered_ faster for some
applications. it is up to the developer to determine if they are
interested in features _or_ speed. you have to weigh your options and
determine what is best for your project.
this is what i have read. others should feel free to add or subtract from
this.
