Example:

create type demotype as (
  value1 text,
  value2 text );

create function returns2strings()
returns demotype
as '
  declare
   rval demotype;
  begin
   rval.value1 := ''some string'';
   rval.value2 := ''some other string'';
   return rval;
  end;
' language 'plpgsql';
