Juliano Da Silva, who translates General Bits into
Portuguese for me, says that the difference between
Iberian Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese is similar
to the difference between American English and
British English.

Same roots, same grammar, but sometimes different
words or expressions for the same things, like
boot vs. trunk, nappy vs. diaper, etc.

Some actual differences are:

English = Brazilian Portuguese = Iberian Portuguese
----------------------------------------------------
Monitor = Monitor               = Ecrã
File    = Arquivo               = Ficheiro
