Yeh, LOG would be most appropriate, but thats not possible.

log_min_messages allows only DEBUG5, DEBUG4, DEBUG3, DEBUG2, DEBUG1,
INFO, NOTICE and WARNING for non-error states.

Possibly DEBUG1?
