postgres on rhel6

Hello,
At work I have task (well, not me but DBA, I'm just a sysadmin, but helping him)
https://www.postgresql.org/download/linux/redhat/
here I still can select postgres17 and rhel6, it has instructions how
to install it, but repo has max version of 12.
I understand why 12+ is not available on rhel6, but it's just
frustrating that instructions clearly show that 17 is still there.

1) Well from here:

https://yum.postgresql.org/

"Platform Support

Supported:

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 Beta RHEL 10 is in beta. Do not use in
production
Red Hat Enterprise Linux / Rocky Linux / AlmaLinux 9
Red Hat Enterprise Linux / Rocky Linux / AlmaLinux 8
Red Hat Enterprise Linux / CentOS / Scientific Linux 7 EOL announcement
     Fedora 41
     Fedora 40
"

So RH 6 should not be listed at all.

2) Postgres 12 is actually available on RH 6, just not 13+:

https://yum.postgresql.org/packages/#pg12

Though it is past EOL.
