Connection failure between pgadmin and progresql

Hi,

I’m writing this email concerning an issue with accessing the server from pgadmin i downloaded with the progresse server i need.

As i enter my password the tab show a connection failure that reads as follows:

connection failed: connection to server at "127.0.0.1", port 5433 failed: FATAL: password authentication failed for user “postgres

I downloaded these versions:

Pgadmin4 - 8.12

Progresql - 16.6

I’m trying to install these on macOS Monterey 12.7.6.

The password i’m putting down is correct as i just created it. I’ve tried to delete both pgadmin and progresse multiple times in hopes of resolving this issue, however it persists.

I’m very new to this program, so could you please advise on what can be done in this situation.

Best,
