Thread: desktop application

desktop application

Hi

In the FAQ for pgadmin it says:

"It may be run either as a web or desktop application."

I think that is a bit missleading, or am I the only one who still think "desktop application"  equals "not using any browser"?

Best regards

Gunnar

Hi Gunnar,

We've been working on a new runtime (based on NWjs, similar to Electron). You can test it from here:
However, this is in testing right now and will be officially released in upcoming release.

Hi Gunner,

I’ve been using this new version exclusively for about three weeks now, and it appears very solid. I love that it’s independent of my browser windows, and highly recommend it.

What release of PostgreSQL will include this version of pgAdmin?  I really dislike the web-only versions that started shipping with PostgreSQL 10.
