pgAdmin closes the session on closing the query window.  Which version of pgAdmin are you using?

Looks like you are opening a query tool in the complete new window rather than a new tab.

Can you try to open a query tool in a new browser tab rather than a new window?

For that, you need to enable the Firefox setting. (Open links in tabs instead of new windows).

Ctrl + Tab is my local browser option and isn't related to this. :)

After the above setting (As I can't read this language I hope it's saying "open links in tabs instead of window"), are you still facing the issue? If yes, please log the issue @ https://redmine.postgresql.org/projects/pgadmin4/issues
