Thread: BUG #16257: 12.2 rpm packages size increase vs 12.1
The following bug has been logged on the website: Bug reference: 16257 Logged by: Olivier Gaborieau Email address: olivier.gaborieau@sercel.com PostgreSQL version: 12.2 Operating system: RHEL6 Description: This is not a so-called bug. However, I am surprised that some of the 12.2 rpm packages are significantly bigger than 12.1 packages. It rang a bell to me as the sizes used to be pretty stable between minor releases. As it is only a bug-fixing release, I just want to ensure everything is OK with the new packages. Here are some of the concerned packages : postgresql12-12.2-1PGDG.rhel6.x86_64 [2.7 MiB] Changelog by Devrim Gündüz (2020-02-11): postgresql12-12.1-1PGDG.rhel6.x86_64 [1.6 MiB] Changelog by Devrim Gündüz (2019-11-11): postgresql12-contrib-12.2-1PGDG.rhel6.x86_64 [1.7 MiB] Changelog by Devrim Gündüz (2020-02-11): postgresql12-contrib-12.1-1PGDG.rhel6.x86_64 [531 KiB] Changelog by Devrim Gündüz (2019-11-11): postgresql12-server-12.2-1PGDG.rhel6.x86_64 [12.1 MiB] Changelog by Devrim Gündüz (2020-02-11): postgresql12-server-12.1-1PGDG.rhel6.x86_64 [5.4 MiB] Changelog by Devrim Gündüz (2019-11-11): Thanks in advance. Regards, Olivier Gaborieau
