Hi Tom,
If you need to query data more than once a week, I strongly suggest to learn command line tools like psql.
It's more difficult than a GUI tool at first but you'll become so much more efficient in the future!
If you need some help with psql, may I suggest :

Hi Tom,

Thanks, Laetitia, for the good advice. I generally do as you suggest for most regular use (usually with Perl 6 scripts), but sometimes a GUI is helpful for me looking around, especially when experimenting.
Best regards,

I only type SQL directly into psql for trivial things. I find GUI tools cumbersome. Cheers, Gavin

I've tried it and it seems quite nice. Seems perfect as a backup GUI tool for occasions when pgAdmin acts up because of a new bug; something that unfortunately happens often lately. The server version would be a full replacement for pgAdmin but unfortunately it is quite hard to setup and even more unfortunately it doesn't install itself as a system service (on Linux at least) so it's a non option for me at the time. The desktop version is very handy though. Regards, Arni On 29/08/2019 01.30, Tom Browder wrote: > I'm looking at https://omnidb.org to use instead og pgamin4. > > Any users here?
