Thread: Re: Active-Active Clustering in Postgres
Hi Team, Is it possible to set up high availability solution for postgres with Active-Active Clustering? Please detail me in detail about the available products/tools. And which tool will be able to compensate my requirement(Active-Active Clustering with 5 9's availability all the time) Looking forward to hear from you!! Hi Pavan ,
Please clarify the Active - Active clustering . Are you looking for all the postgres node in the HA solution to be able to perform read /write both operation ? If so then you have to go for Postgre BDR .
Thanks

Hi Bhandary, I'm not talking about replication, rather I want to know the best practice in implementing clustering for postgres servers(Shared Disk clusters, Shared Nothing clusters) which involve heartbeat/corosync, pacemaker, RHCS, choosing RAID levels, SAN's etc!!! Like what clustering means in other databases(for example SQL server, Oracle RAC) I want to know how to implement the same in Postgres(may be with the help of some tools).
