Issue connecting to server

Hello,

I'm a new user who just downloaded the postgres installer from EDB.  However, when I open pgAdmin 4, I get the message "The application server could not be contacted."

I am running PostgreSQL 9.6 on macOS Sierra.  I appreciate any help you can provide so can get the GUI up and running.
