Please see https://wiki.postgresql.org/wiki/NewsEventsApproval#PostgreSQL_Conferences_.26_Events I quote: "Additionally, conferences which are primarily or entirely about PostgreSQL will be entitled to post news items at the following milestones, if they are each a week or more apart: * Call for Papers * Registration Opening, * Registration Closing, * Wrap-up." The post announcing the keynote does not meet this. Do you disagree with this policy? In the interest of openness, we also got a moderation request for an announcement about the PGDay.UK conference which was also turned down for the same reason. If we want this approved, we should also consider the other one. -- Álvaro Herrera http://www.2ndQuadrant.com/ PostgreSQL Development, 24x7 Support, Training & Services

(in my mind this means "You cannot now buy tickets for Conference X") Do we mean something like "in the last few weeks before a conference you're allowed to give one final reminder of the date on which ticket sales close?" > * Wrap-up." And wrap-up is sending out after-conference videos etc..? So it happens after the actual conference? --Simon Riggs http://www.2ndQuadrant.com/PostgreSQL Development, 24x7 Support, Training & Services

Pretty sure it's meant to refer to the "registration closes in 1 week, don't forget!" kind of message, yes. Because as you say, the other one would be quite pointless. >> * Wrap-up." > > And wrap-up is sending out after-conference videos etc..? So it > happens after the actual conference? Yes. --Magnus HaganderMe: http://www.hagander.net/Work: http://www.redpill-linpro.com/
