Thread: jobs list m0d3ration
WWW, (pardon the 1337speak, see preceding for why I have to -- this is my third attempt to post this) Who is the m0derat0r for pgsql-jobs, currently? I'd like to volunteer to be a m0derat0r. I propose that 100% of posts to -jobs be m0derat3d. Currently -jobs is very low traffic (relatively) but we have two chronic issues with it: 1. recruiters who post inappropriate jobs (i.e. mysql-only) 2. people who accidentally send their resumes to "reply-all". M0d3rating all traffic would prevent both of these mistakes, without much burden or delay. -- Josh Berkus PostgreSQL Experts Inc. http://pgexperts.com

At that time I was added as a second moderator to Devrim. There hasn't been any spam or junk published to there since, and I don't think anyone has ended up waiting too long for their post to be approved so far. A third moderator would certainly be welcome. -- Greg Smith 2ndQuadrant US greg@2ndQuadrant.com Baltimore, MD

Err, the thread in which I added you as moderator didn't come to a conclusion that it was supposed to be all-moderated -- I certainly don't remember changing that. Did Marc or someone else change it? FWIW I just flipped this switch -- it *is* only-moderator-approval now. -- Álvaro Herrera <alvherre@commandprompt.com> The PostgreSQL Company - Command Prompt, Inc. I hadn't seen one go through without being approved first since then, so I assumed the switch was thrown then. It can certainly be used to moderate messages to the pgsql-slavestothewww list. But it cannot be used to moderate things like docs comments, news posts etc, that gets notifications on that list. -- Magnus Hagander Me: http://www.hagander.net/ Work: http://www.redpill-linpro.com/
