Thread: Fwd: Can't post to hackers mailing list
Any idea why this is happening? ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Alexander Korotkov <aekorotkov@gmail.com> Date: Thu, Oct 28, 2010 at 4:45 PM Subject: Can't post to hackers mailing list To: Robert Haas <robertmhaas@gmail.com>, Tom Lane <tgl@sss.pgh.pa.us>, Itagaki Takahiro <itagaki.takahiro@gmail.com>, Oleg Bartunov <oleg@sai.msu.su> Hello! I've prepared tiny patch to fix picksplit function in the cube contrib module and sent it to hackers mailing list in monday. It wasn't posted to mailing list. I sent my letter another time, but result is the same: my letter is still not posted to mailing list. I added patch to commitfest, but now link to the patch is broken. I have questions: 1) Do we have some troubles with mailing list moderation? May be moderator have a vacation now? 2) What is condition to have possibility to post to mailing list without moderation? ---- With best regards, Alexander Korotkov. -- Robert Haas EnterpriseDB: http://www.enterprisedb.com The Enterprise PostgreSQL Company

I don't see anything awaiting moderation in the queue, which means that either someone already rejected it, or it never reached the queue in the first place. Alexander, please resend your email, and put my email in the cc so I know when it was sent and can check on it. - -- Greg Sabino Mullane greg@turnstep.com PGP Key: 0x14964AC8 201010291447 http://biglumber.com/x/web?pk=2529DF6AB8F79407E94445B4BC9B906714964AC8 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iEYEAREDAAYFAkzLFwkACgkQvJuQZxSWSsj0LgCeIF7ZpFR7PIobAXVYzTYzQO3t eNwAn0gpD65w6EZWAx/dt7oKL3jnuUY4 =Htcb -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

It may be getting rejected well before mj2. Thanks, Alaexander, I just manually approved your message which appeared in the hackers queue for two reasons: non-member email and duplicate checksum. The former might be because you are sending from a different email from the one you are subscribed with. The email it was sent from was aekorotkov at gmail.com. If you receive hackers from a different email address, you can subscribe the other one and set it to "nomail" so that mail will not be held up for being a non subscriber. (Actually, I've already done just that for you, but I'll leave the instructions above for the archives). The duplicate checksum problem is probably because the mail was previously sent (and then rejected). - -- Greg Sabino Mullane greg@turnstep.com PGP Key: 0x14964AC8 201010291510 http://biglumber.com/x/web?pk=2529DF6AB8F79407E94445B4BC9B906714964AC8 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iEYEAREDAAYFAkzLHPQACgkQvJuQZxSWSsh30QCdFZqEKaiStAHNnC6dfylZReyr dNIAn2W0FMLXOyTnsU/nWWBIsDe/Judz =CbMS -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
