Thread: Official Italian general mailing list
Dear PostgreSQL community and World Wide Web group, as President of the Italian PostgreSQL Users Group (IT-PUG) [1], the non profit organisation for the promotion of PostgreSQL in Italy, and on behalf of the whole association I kindly ask you to setup the 'pgsql-it-generale' mailing list on the main PostgreSQL website. Last Monday, IT-PUG board of directors has decided to be responsible for the maintenance of the list, through its active members contribution. In particular, Federico Campoli and PhD Luca Ferrari have volunteered to supervise the list and answer to technical questions for Italian speaking users. The main idea of having the pgsql-it-generale@postgresql.org list is to share the global facility that has already been setup and allow users of the Italian community to take advantage of it (without reinventing the wheel for instance with search facilities). Thank you for your attention. Ciao Robert, > Can you explain the relationship between IT-PUG, these new mailing lists, the > http://www.psql.it/ website, and the mailing lists listed there > (http://www.psql.it/?q=node/29) ? > IT-PUG is a non profit organisation and we are requesting the pgsql-it-generale@postgresql.org (or the English named pgsql-it-general@postgresql.org) for the association purposes. You can actually find the association charter, officially translated in English, on our website: http://www.itpug.org/ ( http://www.itpug.org/index.en.html for the English home page) . I strongly recommend that you do have a look at it, so that you can get an idea of the organisation goals, objectives, methods of participation, management, processes, etc. PSQL.it is a website (portal) about PostgreSQL, they have a mailing list but they are not currently affiliated with us. Thanks. Ciao Gabriele, Robert Per discussion in -core, we're recognising both groups as valued community members in Italy and are happy to assist either where appropriate. Regards, Dave.
Ciao guys, my best wishes for a wonderful 2008! > Per discussion in -core, we're recognising both groups as valued > community members in Italy and are happy to assist either where appropriate. > > Regards, Dave Thanks Dave for acknowledging this. I was wondering if it is possible to see: - the pgsql-it-generale or pgsql-it-general (as the international standards prefer) created as previously requested - www.itpug.org listed under the international community websites (given that we are a non-profit organisation) Thank you.
