It seems the information on http://www.postgresql.org/developer/beta
page are a bit outdated.

"The beta period for the PostgreSQL 8.3 release cycle is expected to
begin in *the spring of 2007*."

Actually, it depends on where on earth you are, no?

Anyway, we say Q3 on the other page, so I've changed it to autumn.
