already working on it ... we lost a drive on our DB server, and altho it
was RAID5 configured, for some reason we weren't able to bring it up
multi-user ... we were able to bring it up single user, and  are just in
the process of copying the data over to one of other servers while we
bring in some replacement drives ...

    I made a quick change to the code to show an unavailable message
when the db cannot be connected to. This has been talked about in the
past however this is not nearly as pretty or as elequant as it should
be. If someone can let me know when the db is back so I can double
check to make sure the error goes away.
