Author: Critto <critto@o2.pl> ---- Wonderful tutorial! It totally explains the installation. One 'however': I think you should state it clear, that /usr/local is an _example_ path and the user could use any other. Also, it would be good to mention about createuser here, eg.: createuser root (for the unwary folks who work as root:)) and that if the new pg username is the same as the U*ix account's name, it becomes the default PG username, and the user wouldn't have to specify it (eg. when the U*ix user is 'root', and ey has the PG account 'root', it will be used) Cheerz, Critto ---- Manual page: http://wwwmaster.postgresql.org/docs/7.4/static/installation.html Reject: http://wwwmaster.postgresql.org/admin/comments.php?action=reject&id=1945 Edit: http://wwwmaster.postgresql.org/admin/comment-edit.php?id=1945 Delete: http://wwwmaster.postgresql.org/admin/comments.php?action=delete&id=1945
