Cool, can you translate for the rest of us exactly what you just approved? :) On Thu, 20 Nov 2003, Dave Page wrote: > Thanks, approved. > > Regards Dave. > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: World Wide Web Owner [mailto:www@svr2.postgresql.org] > > Sent: 20 November 2003 05:35 > > To: pgsql-www@postgresql.org > > Subject: [pgsql-www] New Event > > > > A new entry has been added to the events database. > > <br> > > Maiores informacoes em <a > > href=\"http://www.dbexperts.com.br\">www.dbexperts.com.br</a> > > > > > > > > ---------------------------(end of > > broadcast)--------------------------- > > TIP 1: subscribe and unsubscribe commands go to > > majordomo@postgresql.org > > > > ---------------------------(end of broadcast)--------------------------- > TIP 3: if posting/reading through Usenet, please send an appropriate > subscribe-nomail command to majordomo@postgresql.org so that your > message can get through to the mailing list cleanly > ---- Marc G. Wouldn't it be better to force people to submit the events/news in English; as well as with their native languages? It's not just for us; it's for all people visiting the site. What will we do with the translatable site? Not approve it until we have every translation? Or just assume everyone speaks English. I think we could argue this one either way. My feelings are the as you cannot read it it's not relevant to you anyway, if you can, it might be. Regards, Dave. PS. Glad to hear you're OK.

IMHO, www.PostgreSQL.org will get more hit than (lang_name).PostgreSQL.org. I'm not sure that translators will be able to translate the news/events as soon as they are submitted; so www.PostgreSQL.org will be the most up-to-date site among all of them. Also I'm not sure that we'll be able to translate our site into all languages. I just want 'summary' in English, to help all the people understand what's going on all over the world. > PS. Glad to hear you're OK. Thanks a lot. I think that for anything on the web page, a requirement should be for English ... no? On Thu, 20 Nov 2003, Dave Page wrote: > > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Marc G.
