Kindly help me, I was trying to start the server but I get this error: pg_ctl: could not start the server.
Examine the log output.
PostgreSQL 9.2 did not start in a timely fashion, please see /opt/PostgreSQL/9.2/data/pg_log/startup.log for details.

Can somebody show me a command to view the log file I am on Linux - ubuntu.

Thanks
Homba.

Wouldn't cat opt/PostgreSQL/9.2/data/pg_log/startup.log work?
