Is any quick help to SQL functions?

Two questions:

I've made a query in Access and exported it by ODBC to use it in a postgresql query. How can I access to it? I know
onlythe pg_exec function.

BTW, do you know of a good help file or manual or search or list where I can consult how SQL functions works? I have a
PHPdoc file but it is near of 500 pages and it's very slow and nasty to search on it. If you have any other resource
I'dapreciate it.
