Problem compiling with RedHat 7

I get a segmentation fault when it seems to try read the
/usr/include/gconv.h file. Any ideas?

I'd guess "CC=kgcc make" might help. or maybe not, depends
on the way how the scripts have been built.

the GCC shipped with rh is buggy, and might cause exactly that
kind of behaviour. Try and see if using kgcc instead helps.

It's a compiler problem, about which you should complain to Red Hat.
OTOH, I use Red Hat 7.0 as well and I've never seen this one. Maybe use
'CC=kgcc ./configure ...' instead.

Looks more like a hardware problem, ala signal 11.

I've built RPM's on RH 7 many times -- as has Trond -- and have never
run across this issue, using the default compiler (the gcc version that
doesn't exist).

Ask Trond (teg@redhat.com) to be certain.
