Hi, All,

I try to install the postgreSQL on Windwos NT 4.00. However, I've
encounter a problem which I can not run the ./configure provided by
postgreSQL. I have no idea how to solve this problem because I am
new to postgreSQL and Linux. Any help would be very useful. Thanks in
advance.

The following is the steps I used to install postgreSQL on Windows NT 4.00

1/ Install the Cygwin package by runing full.exe
2/ Install the Andy Piper Tools.
3/ Install the Cygwin32 IPC Package follow by the README
4/ Untar the PostgreSQL
5/ Copy the files from \pgsql\src\win32 according to the readme file
6/ Edit \pgsql\src\template\cygwin32 to change the YFLAGS path
7/ <underline>./configure</underline> ------ This
command failed. Error message " No such file or directory"

Is any one can tell me what cause this problem and how can I fix it?

Regards,
Simon Zhu

Hi Simon!

I think all you need to do is to type
> sh ./configure
