I'm working with someone else that is using this combination and they gave me
these versions to install.  I am going to get php 4 and install it on my
other machine, but for now I need to use these.

BTW, in your honest opinion, what are the advantages / disadvantages of php 4

PHP 4 is superior.  Big fixes and functionality and speed.
