Why not to use UTF8 fot all .po file for consistency (and to possibly
avoid future problems like that)? Take a look at pgAdmin III as an
example.

I'd consider that a bother that brings us no real benefit.

I assume that pgAdmin uses a Unicode-only display.  We, however, have to
do encoding conversion anyway, so it effectively doesn't matter which
encoding we initially store it in.
