Hi,

Has anyone tried the architecture independent streaming replication in v9.3?

I was thinking of trying to replicate from windows to RHEL/Cent OS or RHEL/CentOS to Windows. 

Is that possible?

No, it wont work. Binary replication depends on architecture.
